change the side that lost at Southampton on Saturday. The only change is likely to be Rowan Vine coming back. Vine will probably return in place of Warren Feeney, whose goalscoring record has been poor to say the least this season. Adam Boyd was substituted at half time against Southampton on Saturday with a foot injury, but he is likely to start tomorrow instead of Warren Feeney. Other injured players will not be returning tomorrow. Sam Parkin, Chris Coyne, Paul Underwood, Calvin Andrew and Sol Davis are all still out and won't be considered for selection. Dean Morgan is still on the fringes of the team despite impressing so far this season on the left wing of the team. Let's face it, the team could hardly get much worse if Morgan was to play on Tuesday.
Predicted Team - Kiely (GK), Emanuel (DL), Foley (DR), Perrett (DC), Barnett (DC), Brkovic (ML), Edwards (MR), Robinson (capt) (MC), Heikkinen (MC), Vine (SC), Boyd (SC)
Plymouth -
Plymouth's main injury concern is with French centre-back Mathias Doumbe. He will not play against us tomorrow due to a knee injury, which will also see him out of the couple of games after that. Argyle have no other different injury problems, although captain Paul Wotton has a facial injury. He should still feature in spite of this injury. Other players may also make a comeback. Romain Larrieu may replace Luke McCormick in goal after the recent defeat against Leeds. There may also be places available for Akos Buszaky and Luke Summerfield. Plymouth have not been in very good form recently, but compared to ours they look like play-off contenders. They haven't won in five matches or in the last four matches at home either. Plymouth have only won twice at home and have lost three times, so the home record is questionable. The head to head record from Luton's point of view is terrible, with Plymouth winning 26 matches compared to Luton's 20. At Plymouth, Luton have only won 7 out of 34 matches, although the last one actually finished in our favour. Last season's match saw both teams with very little to play for, in contrast to previous matches between Plymouth and Luton. Luton won the last encounter 2-1, with goals from Rowan Vine and Calvin Andrew's first professional goal, both coming in the last ten minutes. Argyle are 12th in the league with 27 points, only five clear of Luton in 20th, and only three points off the play-offs.
Prediction
If either Luton or Plymouth can improve on the way both teams have been playing recently, then they can get a result tomorrow. This is a good chance for Luton to end the current losing streak, so I think we can snatch a 1-1 draw.
| Akos Buzsaky, or it may be just some random guy with his shirt. Anyway, he might feature for Plymouth tonight. |
