Derbyshire, 20, is apparently held in high regard by Blackburn Rovers, but has only made 1 substitute appearance for them. Derbyshire has also had loan spells with Plymouth Argyle and an impressive spell with Wrexham, in which he scored 10 goals in 16 appearances. However, other clubs are apparently interested in him, which means we probably won't get him. Newell is also thought to be interested in Sunderland striker Kevin Kyle to help strengthen the forward line. Kyle is a Scottish international, with 9 caps and 1 goal, and has recently been recovering from injury.
