Perrett: Out of the Palace match

Luton - Paul Underwood will probably still be out with an infection. Chris Coyne may make a return for Luton on Saturday after a recurrence of an injury, although he will probably only be on the bench if he does return. Russell Perrett is definitely out injured, leaving Luton with a centre-back problem. Luton only have two fit centre-backs for tomorrow, so if either of the two centre-backs tomorrow pick up an injury, then probably Kevin Foley or Keith Keane will have to fill in at centre-back. Sam Parkin is also likely to make his home debut after coming on at Molineux in the Wolves defeat, although lack of match fitness may mean that he misses out on a start and Vine and Feeney keep their places (although I'd rather have a half-fit Parkin than a fully fit Feeney).

Probable team - Beresford (GK), Davis (DL), Foley (DR), Heikkinen (DC), Barnett (DC), Edwards (MR), Langley (MC), Robinson (capt) (MC), Emanuel (ML), Vine (SC), Feeney (SC).

Crystal Palace - Crystal Palace have very few injury problems to worry about. The only problems that new boss Peter Taylor faces are selection problems. The signing of Shefki Kuqi from Blackburn has meant that are four strikers vying for two places up front. Clinton Morrison and Dougie Freedman may keep their places from Kuqi and Scowcroft. There may also be a place in the squad for new signing from Hull Stuart Green. Palace have had an excellent start to the season. They won the first three games to go top of the league after three games, however they haven't actually won in four games, including a defeat in the League Cup at home to Notts County. Despite the small bad run of form, Palace are third in the table, three points ahead of Luton. Last season's meetings between the two sides saw Luton claim the double over Palace, winning 2-0 at home with Marcus Heikkinen scoring his first goal for the club.

Prediction - Tomorrow sees the start of a very bad run-in for Luton. We play 5 matches in 14 days, including matches against West Brom and Cardiff as well as Palace. Hopefully, our players will have benefited from the break that we've had since the Wolves match. It may be that because of the matches to come, we need the points. I can't see us getting three points though - we don't have the killer instinct in front of goal, particularly with Warren Feeney up front. Hopefully, he'll score a hat-trick now I've said that, or scoring one would be nice enough. 1-1 with Leon Barnett once again scoring with a header.
