| Williamson: Subject of two bids by Luton |

Williamson, 24, has been linked with a move to Luton Town for some time but Rotherham rejected two approaches for the highly-rated midfielder. The first offer is thought to have been £100,000, which Denis Coleman, the Rotherham chairman, described as 'insulting'. The second offer was of £125,000 maybe rising to £300,000 depending on apperances and whether Luton gained promotion, but this bid was once again rejected. Luton will now have to wait until the transfer window opens again in January to renew interest in Williamson. Alan Knill, the Rotherham boss, called Williamson the best midfielder in the division, so perhaps Newell may be prepared to wait until the summer to try again to sign Williamson. With Rotherham's 10 point deduction, relegation is a very big threat, and Lee may instead want to move away should Rotherham get relegated, and avoid playing in League Two.
