In a month where very few players shined in particular, Luton had an average month, although we only won the one match. The month started with a 1-1 draw against Leicester City after falling behind in the early stages of the match. Dean Morgan scored the goal in that match. The match on the next Saturday against Norwich City was cancelled due to a frozen pitch, so Luton had an extra weeks rest before the trip to Stoke. The Stoke match was pretty eventful, with Ricardo Fuller and Sol Davis being sent off in the 0-0 draw. The next Tuesday saw us take on Sheffield Wednesday and get our first win in the league for two months, courtesy of Drew Talbot's goal and assist for the own goal, and Runstrom's effort. The Crystal Palace match wasn't as good, with Richard Langley getting sent off and Luton losing 2-1. The rearranged Norwich match on the next Tuesday saw Luton lose unluckily 3-2 with individual mistakes costing us rather than a bad team performance. With only one win in February, it may be difficult to think of many players who deserve praise, but here are four that have done well in my opinion. It's now up to you to decide who has been the best.
1. David Bell - Bell has produced some excellent performances in a Luton shirt this season, and February was no exception. Despite not scoring, he was our best player in a number of matches and didn't struggle to get the better of the opposing full-back in many matches.
2. Keith Keane - Keane deserves a considerable amount of credit for the way he has turned his performances around this season. He put in some solid defensive displays during February despite not always starting every match.
3. Drew Talbot - Talbot is doing a reasonable job in filling the gap left by Rowan Vine, despite not scoring as much goals. His pace has caused the other teams defences problems, particularly Sheffield Wednesday, and has chipped in with two goals.
4. Bjorn Runstrom - Bjorn has done a decent job since coming in on loan from Fulham. Sometimes he has frustrated fans when his trickery doesn't always work, but has looked very threatening when on form. Scored twice in February and is hopefully set to be the Rory Allen of this season.
