Unlucky PSG appoint ex-Luton boss as advisor

In an interview that has appeared on the Dunstable Today website, Blackwell rocked the football world momentarily by not mentioning Leeds United for a whole THREE sentences. However, he did manage to make a reference to the Elland Road club eventually. Blackwell said,

"It takes time. We started slowly at Luton, but the youngsters came through eventually.

"The chase for success means spending money and it takes a strong chairman not to. But if it all goes wrong you will have another Leeds United on your hands."

After being sacked by Luton in January, Blackwell was rumoured to be in the running for the managerial vacancy at Southampton. The Saints are currently seven points away from the relegation zone and looking unlikely to be relegated, but that would have all changed. However, Paris St. Germain, currently managed by Paul Le Guen, have swooped to appoint the sought after former Luton manager as an advisor. Following the appointment, Paris St. Germain have also made some key signings, most notably winger Didier McVeigh, Jacques Richardson and a former international superstar, known simply as 'Le Don'. The appointment will bring Paris St. Germain into a new era. The Parisian club are only six points clear off second from bottom club Sochaux, which will all change. PSG have also won five times away from home so far this season, which probably won't change for the rest of the season.

It is unclear why PSG came to the decision to appoint Blackwell as an advisor. It is thought that the French club, who are also a member of the G14 group, were won over by arguments such as 'J'ai beaucoup de badges', 'Je suis un manager tres bon', and 'Je suis beaucoup de links que Leeds United, qui est un equipe tres grand dans Ligue 1 que Angleterre'. One thing is for sure, Paris St. Germain fans will be in for a treat, with numerous 4-5-1 formations, no away wins to remember, and of course, loads of trophies. After all, the French side have never won the French equivalent of the Third Division before.
