Sol man signs new contract

Sol Davis has signed an extension to his Luton contract that will keep him at Luton until the summer of 2006 at least. The left-back was signed by Kinnear for a bargain £40,000 in August 2002 and has made over 100 appearances for the Town. He has had his best season at the club so far this season, mainly due to his forward runs and his improved discipline. He also scored the first goal of his career this season.

The Town are now hoping that Ahmet Brkovic, Kevin Nicholls and Steve Howard to sign new contracts. Their contracts all expire in the summer and all three of them have improved greatly this season, just like Sol. Ahmet is probably the player of the season so far, and has already contributed ten goals this season. Kevin has been awarded the Hatters player of the month award for January to add to his December accolade, and Stevo has contributed 18 goals so far this season.

Hatters fans are also hoping that Mike Newell will sign a new contract soon, and chairman Bill Tomlins thinks that Newell is close to signing.
