Luton Town captain Kevin Nicholls has signed a new deal with the club that will keep him with the Hatters until the end of the 2006-07 season.
Kevin is another player that has improved for the Hatters over time. He joined for the promotion season in 2001 and established himself as the club captain, but it is only this season that Luton have really seen the best of him. Since Springy left, he has taken a new role in the Hatters midfield, with him creating opportunities as well as getting the ball off other players. Nico has also developed into a Beckham-esque free-kick taker, scoring twice this season from free-kicks, as well as two penalties. Overall, Nicholls has scored eight goals this season and is a fans favourite, so the news that he has signed a new contract will be good news for all Town fans.
Luton are now only waiting for Ahmet Brkovic, Steve Howard and Mike Newell himself to sign on.
