The 25-year old midfielder has made over 100 appearances for Luton and has scored 12 goals in the process. He is currently Luton's longest serving player, having been signed by Ricky Hill in 2000, despite being released by Joe Kinnear just before he was sacked.
Two youth team players have also signed new contracts with Luton. Zach Barrett, a goalkeeper, has signed for three years and Chris Pembleton has signed a one-year deal. Holmes' contract means that Paul Hughes and Dino Seremet remain the only members of the first-team squad to sign new deals.
