The Wrexham keeper saved three spot-kicks in a penalty shoot out for his side at Hull earlier this week. The game finished 2-2 after extra time, with the Dragons winning 3-1 on penalties.
Dibble was asked if he had ever managed that before during his long career to which he replied: "I don't think I've ever saved three before but that's my job.
"From my own point of view, the main thing is that I'm still playing despite breaking my arm against Peterborough earlier this year, and we have to remember it was great team performance that got us through."
Dibble, now 40 years old, saved a penalty in the 1988 League Cup final in the Town's victory over Arsenal, went on to say that there was no secret to his success other than making a decision on which way to go. "Thankfully, I got it right and on each occasion I was able to get a firm hand to the ball."
The Hatters were 2-1 down to Arsenal in the final when Dibble saved the spot-kick, and if they had gone 3-1 down the Town almost certainly wouldn't have been able to find a way back. But the save spurred the team on to a now famous victory, goals from Brian Stein (2) and Danny Wilson secured a 3-2 win./fontfamily>
