The club have announced that they will be playing Franchise in a friendly in July. This announcement shocked the Luton fans, and many of them have e-mailed the club to tell them their views on the debacle. It's bad enough that a club is allowed to move away from its fans and into a completely new environment, but when the club you love arranges a friendly against them, it turns the whole situation into a disgrace. Those fans who boycotted the game at the National Hockey Stadium will no doubt feel betrayed and let down by the arrangement of this friendly, and those of us who openly criticised the Football League's decision to allow the MK move are also feeling pretty sour about the events of today.
Personally, I have written an e-mail to the club expressing my views, and I urge all other Luton fans to do the same. The club can be e-mailed at clubsec@lutontown.co.uk. I have welcomed Cherry Newbery and the club to respond to my e-mail, and I have said that I am perfectly happy to publish their response on this website.
As for the fixtures, we start off with a tough trip to Crystal Palace and a home game against Southampton on the Tuesday night. We are at home to Watford on 2nd January and away on 8th April. We finish the season with a trip to Burnley on 30th April. The full fixture list can be found on the official website, along with the announcement of the pre-season friendly with MK.
