Hatters Under 18's manager, Marvin Johnson, made one enforced change to the team that beat Cambridge last weekend. Ross Hanley came in for Leon Barnett who was on first-team duty. Hanley slotted in at right-back, with Max Howell moving into the middle.

Calvin Andrew continued his early season goal scoring form when he hit a first-half hat-trick to take his tally for the season so far to five goals from the opening two Youth Alliance games. David Deeney added the Town's a fourth midway through the second-half, with a late strike adding a Northampton consolation.

The Town youngsters will hope to continue their unbeaten run when West Bromwich Albion visit Newlands Road, Luton, this Saturday (4th). The Baggies look like they will provide a tougher test as they are currently top of the table after the opening round of fixtures.

Hatters line-up: Dean Brill; Ross Hanley, Max Howell, Josh Green, Richard Mansell; Luke Maitland (sub Nick Mountford 78), David Deeney, Sean Ridgway, Stuart Sinclair; Tom Ward, Calvin Andrew (sub Stuart Richardson 78). Sub not used: Michael Eade.
