Edwards has continued to impress this season on the right wing for Luton Town, with three goals already this season. His crossing and pace has also improved considerably this season and has become one of our key performers. This may have seen Newcastle United join the hunt for Carlos' signature. However, one problem they may have is whether Glenn Roeder is still in charge until January to pursue this apparent initial interest in Carlos. Newcastle are currently struggling in the lower reaches of the Premiership table, a far lower place then their reputation suggests they should be. And although Carlos would probably be a very good signing for Newcastle, they seem to prefer player's with bigger reputations, even if they fail to perform at St. James Park.
Watford are also reported to be ready to make another offer for Carlos Edwards, offering money and Matthew Spring for Edwards. Spring has found himself mainly on the bench this season for Watford as they struggle in the Premiership. Their last offer was apparently derogatory for Carlos, so their chances of signing him may not be high if their valuation is nowhere near to matching ours. Watford may also be unwilling to pay a lot of money for Carlos because they rarely use the midfield with their style of play.
