Luton to face QPR in FA Cup

The match will take place on the weekend of the 6th January 2007. Last year, Luton faced the European champions Liverpool in the Third Round, going 3-1 up before eventually losing 5-3, in case anyone forgot about it. The furthest Luton have got in the FA Cup under Mike Newell is the 4th Round, beating Thurrock, Rochdale and Bradford along the way before losing to Tranmere. The most memorable run in the last 15 years is probably from the 1993-94 season, when Luton got to the semi-finals before eventually losing to Chelsea. Luton played QPR in the FA Cup in 2001, losing after extra time in a replay at Loftus Road.
