Luton face newly promoted team in cup

The match against the Daggers will be played in the week beginning August 13th, a week after the season is due to start. Luton will also be playing the Conference champions in a pre-season friendly in July.

Last season, Luton faced League Two sided now League One side Bristol Rovers, who we beat on a penalty shoot-out. Adam Boyd scored our only goal in a 1-1 draw. We beat Brentford 3-0 in the second round, with Feeney amongst the scorers, and lost to Everton 4-0 in the third round, in the match that may have started our downfall. Luton have faced another newly promoted team to the league in the first round of the Carling Cup in recent years - in Newell's first season in charge we beat Yeovil 4-1 at home, in their first game in the League Cup.
