The 23 year old midfielder Leary has failed to make a big impact at Kenilworth Road but signed a new contract with Luton in the summer. In four years, Leary has made 32 appearances for Luton and only 14 starts for us, scoring three goals. He has also had loan spells at Bristol Rovers and Walsall. Leary is with familiar company at Torquay, as he will be playing alongside ex-Luton stars Nathan 'Safe Hands' Abbey and Lee Mansell, who left Oxford United in the summer, despite earlier saying that they were a bigger club than Luton.
In addition, youngster Zac Barrett has made a one month loan move to Nationwide North side Kettering Town. Barrett hasn't made any appearances for Luton since signing professional terms in the summer. He is most probably just out to get first-team experience rather than in an attempt to get rid of him.
