Worley, who is 19 years old, has joined Luton on a month's loan from Leicester City. This is presumably because of the injury that George Pilkington picked up on Saturday against Aldershot. Leicester City manager Nigel Pearson said that, "He wants to be playing first-team football and I can understand his frustrations.
"I'd rather see him go out on loan and gain some valuable experience rather than playing in the reserves here."
Worley has only made twelve senior appearances in his professional football career. He was originally a Stockport County youngster, but Chelsea signed him in 2005 for £150,000, a fee decided by tribunal. In 2008, after loan spells at Carlisle, Doncaster and Leicester City, he was signed by the Foxes permanently, but has failed to make any appearances for them this season so far. Worley has a three-year contract with Leicester, so it is unlikely that a permanent move will follow. Worley is primarily a centre-back.
