Both Chris Coyne and Sol Davis will now stay at Luton until June 2009. However, neither player will play tonight against Wednesday because of injury. Coyne signed in September 2001 for Luton, and despite a nightmare debut which saw him score an own goal, he has been a very reliable and rock solid defender. He is now the club captain as well after the sale of Kevin Nicholls. Coyne is 27 years old and in total has played 205 games for Luton, scoring 12 goals. He was the clubs Player of the Year in 2002-03 and has been promoted with Luton twice.
Sol Davis has also been a very reliable defender for the club. His consistency and tough tackling have made him a firm favourite with the Luton fans. Sol has played 156 games for Luton and scored just two career goals from left-back. He has also picked up 4 red cards, mostly for using elbows on another player. Sol has seen Luton achieve one promotion and championship in 2004-05.
