Collymore allegedly offered Enoch Showunmi (now at Bristol City) to Millwall while he was still contracted with Luton. He is also apparently not contracted to Enoch, so he may be in trouble for that as well. This allegation is thought to be separate to the one that Mike Newell made about Collymore allegedly offering him a bung to push a transfer through. Newell was the first football manager this year to claim that he had been offered a bung by an agent, and this is the first real move against agents in the inquiry into corruption in football. There has also been action taken against two other agents in the game, although neither of the other two agents are thought to be linked with Luton or any Luton Town players.
It is likely that there will be very few clear implications for Luton over this case, because Enoch has already left the club so there is no way that Newell can discipline him or talk to him about a move away from the club.
