The Bluebirds boss has, however, denied reports that he has tabled an offer for the highly thought of centre back.

"We have watched Davies, I can't deny that," Lawrence told the South Wales Echo.

"But we haven't made an enquiry about him, certainly not an offer. But we are monitoring his progress."
